More than 200 start-ups already. 24 existing shareholders. 18 new shareholders. The start-up ecosystem of our Bonner DigitalHub is growing diligently and steadily. We wholeheartedly welcome our committed new shareholders, such as Sparkasse KölnBonn, the Carl Knauber Holding GmbH & Co. KG, the CONET Technologies Holding GmbH as well as 15 other companies, investors and private individuals. Thanks to them and our loyal, already established shareholders, we are pleased to announce a huge increase in our debt capital. And not for 1,000, not for 10,000, not for 100,000, but for more than a whole million euros! Thank you! 🎉
Not only is our start-up ecosystem currently benefiting from growth, but also our opportunities! The successful capital increase paves the way for further investments. It is always important to us that our investments are one, and that is usefully. We want to invest in companies that want to continue to grow to make a positive difference in the world: startups. We want to invest in topics that have a significant impact on society not only currently but also in the future: Cyber Security and sustainability. Our plan with the new funding is therefore to invest in 20 to 30 promising, regional start-ups in the coming years, which will embellish future industries with innovative ideas. Up to 100,000 euros can be made available per start-up. Let's continue to drive the start-up ecosystem in Bonn and the surrounding area forward together! 💪
Of course, such a success cannot be left without celebration, that is obvious. So it was called on February 29th: Enjoy not only food and drink, but also inspiring words! As part of a lively investment dinner, together with our shareholders, we initiated the capital increase and the associated commitment of everyone. In addition to delicious drinks, a variety of dishes and pleasant music, the participants were able to listen not only to exciting lectures and pitches from very different areas, but also to a panel about start-up trends and the Cologne-Bonn region. In insightful discussions, it became clear once again that everyone is striving for a common goal: creating a foundation-friendly environment. Peter Stamm, one of the two founders and owners of the GIS company WhereGroup GmbH, also emphasized how valuable the start-up ecosystem and the DigitalHub are for everyone involved: “We not only want to support the start-up scene, but also learn something from it.” Young and old can learn a lot from each other because, as the managing director illustrates: “If you only ever cook in your own soup, you won't get any smarter!” 🍲
However, the commitment of our regional players not only gives us great financial benefits, but also shows us the strong trust in the start-up scene in Bonn and the surrounding area. Together, we can continue to drive our start-up ecosystem forward and shape the future sustainably. We say thanks and we're looking forward to what's to come! 🙌
